    Detailed Itinerary

    Guilin

    Day 1: Arrival in Guilin

Welcome to Guilin! Buildings surrounded by mountains and rivers is absolutely a breathtaking view. The charm of Guilin appeals you to explore, although it might strike you as a small laid-back town. You will have a lot of free time to explore the city on your own after arrival.
As most flights from big cities, such as Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai, land during the afternoon, you can spend rest of your day on your own freely.
If you want to go out and explore, Reed Flute Cave, Li River Stone Drawing, and walking along Binjiang Road are highly recommended.

    Day 2: Longji rice terrace

After breakfast, we will leave for Longsheng. It usually takes 3 to 4 hours to get there on the mountain road. However, we will shorten the journey to 2½ hours by travelling on the highway.
Arrived at the famous rice terrace fields, you can either walk up or take an electric buggy to the top.
The awe-inspiring view of the Longji Rice Terraces is widely known, especially when they turn golden in autumn.
While Longji Rice Terraces in autumn is undoubtedly the most photogenic, it boasts unique beauty in other seasons, too. Standing atop such a huge man-made wonder itself is an incredible experience.
When you get back down, a Yao family will invite you for lunch. Besides, you may also learn how to stuff and cook rice inside a bamboo tube with them. Then you have a taste of the freshly extracted oil tea, which keeps the farmers warm in harsh winters. By the evening, you will return to Guilin.

    Day 3: Li River cruise

CNN lists Lijiang River as one of the world's 15 best rivers for travelers. The river appears distinctively in each season, and can be appreciated from various ways.
You will take the classic way: a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. In order to ensure you an unforgettable experience, we will arrange a 4-star (the highest level) cruise ship for you, on which you can enjoy better facilities as well as a buffet lunch.
Firstly, we will transfer you smoothly from your hotel to the pier. Along the riverbanks, you can spot staggering limestone formations. And as you approach Yangshuo, the scenery will change from a cityscape to rural tranquility.
If you would like to buy some souvenirs after disembarking, your guide will be glad to show you around the center of Yangshuo. After that, you will be escorted to hotel in the countryside.
The rest of the afternoon is all yours, you can have a walk or ride a bike (offered by hotel) leisurely to enjoy peaceful villages and idyllic scenery around your hotel.
Nowadays, it is getting more and more difficult to find places that can remind you of nature's quietness and pureness. Luckily, Yangshuo’s countryside has successfully maintained itself.
Have a relaxing night in Yangshuo!
    Tips to tailor-make your tour:
In Yangshuo, you can feel a relaxing atmosphere. Meanwhile, there is a variety of activities waiting for you: a cooking class, a tai-chi lesson, a farming experience, and even rock climbing.

    Day 4: Departure

Agriculture in China depends greatly on manual work rather than machinery compared to most western countries. Some traditional farming methods even have been passed down for generations. Experiencing the daily life of the local farmers on your last day will let you know China’s another side.
We will drive through the villages where tourists rarely visit. You might meet someone on his way to the field with a water buffalo, or someone working in the paddy. Feel free to say hello to them or ask something about their work, which will make them pleased.
After saying goodbye to the villagers, we continue to drive pass the rice paddies. Then we head for the market on the other bank of the Lijiang River by a ferry and a local farmer's taxi.
When in the market, your guide will explain to you different types of food. You can also get to know local people’s daily necessities. In this comprehensive market, you will see the real lifestyles of Chinese rural folks.
It is rather meaningful to get a glimpse of people's lives from a completely different culture, while in the meantime you can share yours. In the afternoon, you will leave Guilin with great memories.
